Frequently Asked Questions

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. On a lot of farms, this can mean a lot of different things.

On our farm, a CSA share is a produce subscription in which customers pay upfront the total cost of their "share". In return, we carefully craft delicious boxes of our fresh sustainably-grown produce for them each week. We choose what goes into the boxes based on what is seasonally available each week.  All boxes are the same each week, except for some variation on customer preferences. We then deliver them to our customers at their agreed upon delivery location.

How much produce do I get each week?

You will receive at least $16.00 worth of our produce each week. I base these prices off of our prices at  our farmers markets.  I try to give a nice assortment of items each week including salad greens, cooking greens, roots/cabbage/broccoli, and herbs.

A typical box might look something like this:

There is an item on the list above that I am allergic to, or just plain don't like. What should I do?

When you sign up, you'll have the option of notifying me of your produce preferences. We strive to honor the needs of our CSA customers, while maintaining the true spirit of a CSA.  Please let us know what you like and don't like in advance, so we can delight you each week with the veggies you love. Keep in mind this is the time to notify me of your preferences now, not the day before delivery. We cannot honor any last minute changes to produce preferences.

I'm going out of town. What happens to my CSA box?

If you'd like us to not make you a box on a particular week that you are away, just let us know a week in advance. We will send you an extra box on a week of your choosing while the CSA is in session. Please note-- any changes to your box delivery must be made a week in advance. We are not responsible for last minute cancellations.
